Media outlets often play a dangerous game of telephone and derange the truth. The NY Times did a knockout job reminding us there is always more to the story.
Sounds like there is another coffee burn villain being branded out there. The comment chain on this article by the Fresno Bee is crazy. You'll have a hard time believing what the McD's employees allegedly did while another elderly woman was burned. I don't think victims should score a windfall, but how else do you slap a big corporation than with punitive damages?
